Hello and Goodbye!!

So last night was the Audio Adrenaline Adios Tour in Baltimore MD…
We had been planning on this concert for quite some time…
I have been listening to AA since I was 10 years old and David too…
He actually had met them at several concerts when he was growing up so we wanted to have the chance to say hi to them…
And tell them how much we will miss them…
This is their last tour ever…
The trip from Richmond to Baltimore is only 3 hours…
We called Mom and Dad and they decided to join us…
So we set off to Baltimore only EVERYTHING THAT COULD GO WRONG DID GO WRONG!!

Early on in the day we had called mom and dad to see if they wanted to join us…
So then we head to the gas station to fill up for the trip…
While were at the gas station David decides to check the air in our tires just to make sure we are all good for the drive…
The tire on the left was a little low so he fills it up…checks the tire on the right…tries to fill it up…well the stupid thing wouldn’t take in any air…
So David has to sit there in the pouring rain trying to get in air in this tire for about 15-20 mins…
He was aggravated because it wasn’t taking on any air…
I was aggravated because I wanted to make good time on the trip and had wanted to leave an hour earlier…
At that point if it wasn’t for the fact that David’s parents were going we probably would have just headed home and called it quits…
We were both just frustrated…

So we pick up mom and dad and head out…
The trip was supposed to take only three hours and that was including if we hit traffic…
It was around 2 when we headed out and the concert didn’t start until 7:30pm so we decided to stop at the Potomic Mills mall…it kind of in the DC area and a really great stopping point…
So we stop at the mall and enjoy the nice mall…and get something to eat…
From this point it should only take 45mins to get to the concert so we were excited because we thought we were going to be early and hang out with our friends…
And that is when it happens…
What should have taken us 45 mins…
Took us 3 HOURS…
We hit traffic and when i say traffic it was the worst traffic I have ever seen in my life…
We literally moved an inch at at time…
And no there weren’t accidents…or construction…
We could see no sign of why the traffic was so bad…
But it was…

So we keep driving and driving…
Trying to keep our chins up…
Hoping that we make it on time…
Around 7:30 were still 20 miles away…
And we were still there in traffic…

And after all of that we finally make it…
We drive up to the arena around 8:30…
At this point Audio Adrenaline had been on stage for about 25 mins and they were only doing a forty min set..
Mom was in pretty bad shape because she had to go to the bathroom so bad so we drop them off at the will call gate whle we go to find a parking spot…
After making a couple of loops around the block we finally find the only place we can see to park…
It cost 15 dollars to park and we thought that was crazy but we had to park if we were ever going to even hear one song…
So we park and both take off in a full fledge run to the will call booth…
Our friend we were meeting up with does the merch and photos…and even does some work for their website…well she got us free tickets…so we were on the VIP list…
We get to the will call desk and the guy refused to give us our tickets…
We can hear the set winding down and know that they are almost done…
The guy said he couldn’t let us in without her id…We try explaining that she is backstage taking pictures and working with the band…
We have no way to get a hold of her because she can’t hear her phone…
At this point I had to just walk away from the guy…
I was so mad…
David flipped out on the guy and tried to explain to him the situation and he just wouldn’t let down and let us in…
After about ten minutes of fighting with the guy we finally just walk away and find a security guard…
We tell him the situation and he tells us he will help us get our tickets…
So he walks over to the guy tells him he will sign for them and take whatever fallout there could be just give us our darn tickets…
We get the tickets and take off in a run again…
We find our VIP floor seats in enough time for the very last song…
The song was appropriately titled “goodbye”

After the song we see our friend Lindsay that got us our tickets and she takes us backstage…

We get to chat it up with the band and tell them how much we will miss them and they got to catch up with David…
They had no idea he had gotten married…

It was actually really funny…The guy that does their tours bought the band brand new motorbikes…So all they wanted to do was paint and “pimp” out their rides…
So we got to chat with them while taking in the paint fumes…

So we got to say our hellos and goodbyes to the band…
Goodbye Audio A…
We will miss you…
