Today’s workout was pretty good. I was so sore from yesterday’s one hour workout in the pool and David was dealing with some neck pain so we decided to do the stationary bikes today. I tell you I have a new love and its the stationary bike at the YMCA. This bike is the smoothest and easiest piece of exercise equipment I have ever used. I knew David would love it too and he did. Its such a great workout and I love how at the end you get this screen that I took a picture of above that sums up your workout for you. Its great for keeping track of your progress.
So my plan this week is to try to do the pool again tomorrow and then the bike again for 20 mins on Friday. Then next week I’ll try to up my time to 30 mins and keep doing this each week till I get up to an hour. If I can do an hour a day I can burn about 300 calories a day.
Even though the bike gives me a great workout its mainly in my legs. So I bought some 2 lb weights to workout with each day at home. I also have some really great stretches that are supposed to help open up my hip sockets.
So overall I think things are going really great. I can’t tell you how great I’ve been feeling since I started working out. Yes, I’m really sore but my head is so clear!
